Petrels beaten by Baldwin Wallace

ATLANTA - The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels hosted the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets for a sunny spring break matchup, but Oglethorpe got stung with a 20-6 loss.

Anna Ramsden and Anna Conza led with two goals each. Sarah Liang had three ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Conza and Ellis Mitchum won six draw controls each.

Baldwin Wallace took an early lead and held on tight. Conza was the only Petrel to score in the first quarter, which ended with the Oglethorpe down 6-1. The Yellow Jackets took charge of the second period as well, scoring within the first 45 seconds. Conza followed with another goal of her own, but Baldwin Wallace scored three more times before Mitchum could make her mark. The score was 12-3 going into halftime.

Savannah Freeman and Ramsden scored back-to-back at the beginning of the third quarter, but this was followed by a string of goals from the Yellow Jackets. The fourth quarter unfolded the same way as the previous three, with Baldwin Wallace dominating the field. Ramsden managed to get one more goal on the board, but the Yellow Jackets ultimately triumphed 20-6.
