Oglethorpe athletics to stream on FloSports under new SAA media partnership

ATLANTA—Oglethorpe University athletics will gain expanded national exposure beginning with the 2026–27 season through a new exclusive media rights partnership between the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) and FloSports.

Under the agreement, FloSports will become the global home for live and on-demand coverage of SAA competitions across all member institutions, including Oglethorpe. Events will stream on FloCollege, FloSports' dedicated platform for collegiate athletics, increasing access for alumni, families, prospective students and Petrel fans across the country.

The partnership marks a significant step forward for Division III visibility. The SAA becomes the 12th NCAA Division III conference to partner with FloSports, joining a growing group of conferences investing in high-quality digital coverage to better showcase student-athletes and institutions.

"At Oglethorpe, we believe deeply in the power of competition to complement a rigorous academic experience," President Kathryn McClymond said in the conference announcement. "This partnership expands the audience for our student-athletes, telling their stories more broadly and allowing families and supporters to stay connected to their achievements, wherever they are."

FloSports will provide the SAA with access to its FloSports Production Suite, a comprehensive broadcast solution designed to elevate stream quality, reliability and storytelling. The platform delivers consistent high-definition video, enhanced graphics and improved viewer experiences for live and archived events.

For Oglethorpe Athletics, the partnership means a broader reach for games across multiple sports, making it easier for supporters to follow Petrel teams throughout the season. It also aligns with the university's commitment to celebrating student-athletes who excel in the classroom and in competition.

The Southern Athletic Association includes nine core members: Berry College, Centre College, Maryville College, Millsaps College, Oglethorpe University, Rhodes College, Sewanee, Southwestern University and Trinity University. The conference competes in a wide range of men's and women's sports and has a strong national profile, including NCAA postseason appearances and national championships.

SAA Commissioner Stacey LaDew said the partnership allows the conference to invest more intentionally in quality, reach and storytelling while working with an established leader in collegiate sports media.

Coverage of SAA competitions on FloCollege will begin with the 2026–27 academic year. Additional details on viewing access, subscriptions and schedules will be shared closer to the start of the season.

For Oglethorpe supporters near and far, the partnership offers a new way to experience Petrel athletics and stay connected to Stormy Petrels competing on a wider stage.
