ATLANTA- The Oglethorpe University men's soccer team finished with a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon versus Pfeiffer University. This is the team's second draw of the season as the Stormy Petrels moved to 4-1-2 on the season.
Sebastian Lewis earned his third shutout of the season, tallying five saves on the day, all in the second half. His most notable save came in the 83rd minute when he denied a one-on-one goal scoring opportunity with Pfeiffer's Barrett Owens taking a shot from close range.
The first half opened with back-and-forth possession. Ethan Martinez took the first and only shot of the half between the two teams in the 24th minute while the Petrel defense kept Pfeiffer completely at bay.
Martinez later opened the second half with another shot looking to put the Petrels on the board but missed high. Pfeiffer moved the momentum completely to their side, taking five shots on goal in the second half.
Oglethorpe's closest chance came in the 82nd minute when the team's final shot came from Alex Watson, but a great save by Pfeiffer kept teams scoreless.
