Gabriel Chapman is an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the men's soccer team at Oglethorpe University. He returned to the program in early 2020 after previously spending three seasons as an assistant coach with the Stormy Petrels from 2013 to 2016.
He has experience coaching soccer to boys and girls of all ages at college, club/select, ODP and high school levels. He is currently also the boys varsity head coach at Roswell High School.Â
He holds the UEFA B License, which he obtained in Barcelona, Spain, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 badges from the English FA, the USSF "B" License and the NSCAA Premier Diploma. In 2012, he worked as a translator at the International Soccer Congress in Ma´laga, Spain. A lover of travel and languages, he has also spent time working in and observing soccer in Spain, England, Portugal and Italy: Barcelona (Club Natació Terrassa), Málaga CF, West Bromwich Albion, FC Porto and Chievo Verona. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese.Â
A native of Sandy Springs, he played club soccer at Concorde Fire and then went on to attend Georgia Tech where he played on the club soccer team.
