Ron Apollon returned to the Oglethorpe men's soccer staff for a second stint prior to the 2021-22 season, where he serves the Stormy Petrels as goalkeeper coach.

Apollon also is the head coach for the Atlanta Panthers Pro-Am women's team, as well as the assistant coach for the Fellowship Christian School boys and girls varsity soccer teams.

Apollon is the co-founder and director of the Last Defense Goalkeeping Academy (LDGA) that provides goalkeeper training for the NASA Tophat boys and girls soccer programs. He was the head goalkeeper coach for the Georgia ODP program for the past 10 years and has been responsible for the development of several regional and national goalkeepers from the Atlanta area. Apollon was selected as a Region III goalkeeper coach and also coached the Pace Academy varsity girls team for 12 years during which he won the 2014 Georgia State High School championship. He has also coached at Georgia State University and Georgia Perimeter College.

Apollon holds a USSF “A” and the National Youth coaching licenses.
