ATLANTA – Oglethorpe's Ashton Deriso and Zachary Benner are heading to the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championships this weekend. The pair have become the fourth and fifth national qualifiers in program history, with the most recent in 2018.

Deriso became the first title winner in program history, and even smashed the conference record. His current record for the 8k is 24:46, also the Oglethorpe record.

Benner finished third at the SAA championships, and 14th at regionals. He was also named to the All-SAA first team. His current record in the 8k is 24:58, which was set at the conference championship.

The NCAA championships race will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, at 12 p.m. in Terre Haute, Indiana. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology serves as host of the event at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
