ATLANTA – Oglethorpe University and Director of Athletics Todd Brooks are pleased to announce the Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2025.
The four new honorees will be inducted during a ceremony on March 28. Each athlete and their accomplishments are listed below.
Patrick Kulick | 2015, Baseball
- Kulick graduated with a Bachelor of Science cum Laude in business administration in 2015, and later earned an MBA from St. Leo University.
- During his team on the team, Kulick was named to the D3baseball.com All-South Region Third Team (2014), the American Baseball Coaches of America (ABCA) All-South Region Third Team (2014), and was a two-time All-Conference selection (2014: second team, 2015: honorable mention). Kulick led the 2014 Petrels in batting average (.364), home runs (7), hits (56), RBI's (33), doubles (16), runs (37) and on-base percentage (.424), as well as saves (4). In 2015 he was the team leader for runs with eight, and RBIs with 30.
- Kulick also cemented himself in Oglethorpe's record books, currently ranking fourth for doubles in a single season with 16 in 2014. He also ranks sixth for career home runs at 15.
- Kulick returned home to Coral Springs, Florida, in 2019 where he worked at USI Electronics as a product manager. He passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 28 after complications with Acute Leukemia.
Anthony Maccaglia | 2015, Golf
- Maccaglia has become one of the most decorated men's golfers in Oglethorpe history, and continues to advance his professional career. His achievements are as follows:
- 2011-12 NCAA National Champion (Arnold Palmer Award).
- 2011-12 Phil Mickelson National Freshman of the Year.
- 2014-15 Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year.
- Four-time NCAA All-America first team member (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15).
- Four-time PING All-Region team member (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15).
- Four-time All-Conference first team member (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
- Two-time SAA Most Outstanding Player (2013-14, 2014-15).
- SCAC Newcomer of the Year (2012).
- 15x conference player of the week.
- SCAC All-Sportsmanship team (2011-12).
- Two-time Academic All-America Selection (2014-15: first team, 2013-14: second team).
- Two-time All-America Scholar (2013-14, 2014-15).
- Three-time Academic All-Conference.
- Holds the Oglethorpe record for career tournament wins with 12.
- Holds the Oglethorpe record for single-season tournament wins with 5 (2012-13).
- Finished in the top 15 three times at the NCAA Championships.
- Maccaglia held the Oglethorpe record for 72-hole scoring until last May when it was broken by national champion Michael O'Sullivan ('24). Maccaglia most recently qualified for his first PGA Event, becoming the second golfer in Oglethorpe history to do so. He is coming off the GPRO Golf Tour.
Felix Mann | 2011, Tennis
- Mann graduated in 2011 with a degree in economics and is currently head coach of Sewanee's tennis program.
- As a Tiger, Mann has three SAA coach of the year honors and four SAA regular season and tournament championships. Their program has four NCAA Championship appearances, reaching the second round in 2019 and 2022, and the round of 16 in 2023 and 2024. He has coached two individual national champions, five SAA players of the year, seven All-America selections, and 32 All-SAA honorees.
- At Oglethorpe, Mann was a two-time All-SCAC Honorable Mention (2008 and 2009), and two-time SCAC All-tournament team honoree (2009 and 2010). Mann was nationally ranked throughout his playing career, reaching as high as No. 12 individually and No. 7 for doubles with partner Ross Beall.
Nikos Papanikolopoulus 2015 | Soccer
- Papanikolopoulus graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's in accounting, and later a master's from Georgia State. He currently serves as tax manager for Koch Industries here in Atlanta.
- Papanikolopoulus was named to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region first team (2013), was the 2013 SAA defensive player of the year (2013), a three-time All-Conference member (2013: first team, 2011, 2012: second team), and a 2013 All-Academic.
