ATLANTA – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has announced this year's Platform Golf Team Academic Awards, with Oglethorpe earning Presidents Special Recognition.

To qualify for the Platform Golf team academic award, teams must post a 3.0 or higher grade-point average. Presidents Special Recognition is added when a team reports a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Only 24 other NCAA Division III teams received this year's Presidential honors.

Oglethorpe has also garnered a few postseason individual academic awards, with Ryan Dunn, Jackson Hiller, Sam Karman and Beck Lewis most recently bringing home GCAA All-American Scholars. Lewis and Karman were also named to Sigma Alpha Alpha, and nearly every member of the team was named to the Southern Athletic Association honor roll.

The Stormy Petrels will tee off their 2025-26 season this September at the SAA Preview and the Gate City Invitational.
