ATLANTA—Gabi Plaia's header in the 63rd minute is all it took for the Oglethorpe women's soccer team to come away victorious, 1-0, over LaGrange Wednesday night in a nonconference home game. The win improved the Stormy Petrels to 4-0, their best start since 2019.
Plaia's goal was her first of the season and came from close range as a Harlow Cregar corner kick connected with the junior for her third assist of the season. Oglethorpe otherwise mostly dominated the rest of the possession, although a few close attempts from LaGrange kept the game close from start to finish.
