ATLANTA—Oglethorpe senior Jackson Hiller has been named Southern Athletic Association co-athlete of the week after an outstanding performance at this week's NCAA Championships Preview. After carding a 3 under par effort and finishing 12th overall, the Vero Beach, Florida, native won the award for the fifth time in his career.

Hiller fired 69-72-69 across the 54-hole event that took place at the site of the upcoming NCAA Championships next spring. He climbed 13 spots to claim 12th overall after his final round of 3 under, tying with five others including No. 7 Sewanee's Niel Phillips and No. 15 Trinity's Andre Follmer who also won the SAA weekly award. Hiller ranked third in par 3 scoring at 1 under, helping Oglethorpe co-lead the team field in that category.

The team was also sixth in par 5 scoring at 13 under par thanks to Hiller shooting 5 under on the par 5's.

Hiller and the Petrels compete next at their home tournament Oct. 5-6 in Douglasville, Georgia, when they host the West Pines Collegiate. Hiller medaled at the event two years ago with a 5 under par in October, 2024. The team won the event back-to-back in 2023 and 2024.
