The Oglethorpe University men's soccer team lost to Emory
University on Salamone Field on Wednesday afternoon, 3-1. The game
was knotted at one goal apiece for a long stretch but the Eagles
found the back of the net twice in the game's final 10 minutes to
secure the win.
Trailing 1-0 in the first half, sophomore Nathan Post blasted a
free kick off the crossbar and past the Eagles keeper to tie the
score at one apiece. The score would remain that way until the
Eagles outburst late in the contest on a soggy, rain-soaked
Salamone Field.
With the decision, Oglethorpe is now 4-5-1 on the season and will
get set to face LaGrange College on the road this Friday at 7:00
p.m.
