ATLANTA—Championship season is here, and the Oglethorpe men's soccer team is set to host the six-team Southern Athletic Association postseason tournament, which begins Thursday.
Oglethorpe finished the regular season with a 7-6-4 overall record, claiming the No. 6 seed with a 2-4-2 conference record. Up first for the Stormy Petrels in the tournament will be Berry, the three seed, in a rematch of the Vikings' 1-0 victory back in September in both teams' SAA opener. A goal in the 55th minute decided the match, despite the Petrels outshooting Berry 12-10.
A win over Berry would advance Oglethorpe to the semifinals, where it would face No. 2-seeded Trinity.
