The Oglethorpe University men's soccer team played Sewanee to a
1-1 tie on Salamone Field on Saturday afternoon. The game was
preceded by senior day festivities as Oglethorpe said goodbye to
Michael Hadjisimos, Caio Lima and Campbell Walker
The score was knotted 0-0 at halftime before the Tigers broke
through early in the second stanza to take the lead. E.J.
Ovie-Ogodo responded with an unassisted goal for the Petrels in the
game's 72nd minute and the two teams played scoreless soccer
through the remainder of the game including two overtimes.
With the result, Oglethorpe finishes the season with a 6-10-3
overall mark. The Petrels will return next season with a roster
full of talented players looking to climb the ladder of the SCAC
standings.
