The men's soccer team lost to Colorado College on Salamone Field on Friday afternoon, 2-1.

The Petrels took a 1-0 advantage in only the game's 7th minute when Russell Thompson found a streaking Nick Williamson down the far side of the pitch. Williamson took one touch before cracking an incredible shot across the face of the goal and past the Tiger keeper for the 1-0 advantage.

The Tigers, however, responded with goals in the game's 18th minute and then again just before half in the 44th minute to earn a 2-1 lead they would not relinquish.

Each team managed 13 shots on the afternoon and Oglethorpe held a 5-4 advantage on corner kicks.

The Petrels are now 4-3-1 on the season and will face Austin this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. on Salamone Field.
