The men's soccer team lost to Hendrix College on Salamone Field on Friday afternoon in overtime, 1-0.

Goalie Jon Beaver could not handle a ball played outside the box in the game's first overtime and Hendrix's Duncan Keegan was able to lob a high shot from 30 yards out into the back of the net for the win.

The Petrels outshot the Warriors 19-10 and held a 9-4 edge in corners taken but could not sneak a goal past the stout Warrior defense.

Oglethorpe is now 5-7-1 on the season and will face Rhodes College at 2:00 p.m. this Sunday.Senior Day Ceremonies will begin just before kickoff.
