The men's socce team lost at Sewanee on Saturday afternoon, 1-0. Sewanee managed just one shot on goal for the contest but it went through off a free kick to lift them to the win.

The loss was tough to swallow for Oglethorpe as the Petrels could not convert a penalty kick and struck the post on three separate occasions but could not muster a goal.

With the result Oglethorpe is now 5-4-1 on the season and will face Emory in Decatur on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
