The men's tennis team lost the 3rd / 4th place match to Rhodes
College at the 2010 SCAC Championships in Little Rock on Sunday,
8-1. Despite the loss, Oglethorpe secured their highest finish
(4th) in school history in the SCAC.
Felix Mann
cemented his all-tournament status by winning the Petrels lone
point against Rhodes at number one singles but it was the only
point the Petrels could muster. No matter, though, as Oglethorpe
secured a fourth place finish, the highest in school history.
Oglethorpe managed to secure the fourth place finish by besting
Sewanee for the first time in school history to advance to the SCAC
semifinals. It marked the first time in 17 years that the SCAC
semifinals were not composed of Sewanee, Trinity, DePauw and
Rhodes.
