ATLANTA—Oglethorpe sophomore Kellen Simmons has been named to the Southern Athletic Association All-Conference first team, announced the SAA league office Wednesday afternoon.
The All-Conference honor for Simmons is the second in as many seasons after Simmons was named to the second team in 2025 following his freshman season.
Simmons led the team in singles wins this season with 13, including eight in dual matches and four in the SAA. He played exclusively at the team's No. 1 spot and highlighted his singles schedule with a win over the preseason No. 12-ranked individual from Emory.
Simmons went 9-4 in doubles this year and also posted a similar doubles win over nationally ranked Emory. The 9-4 record included a 9-2 record at No. 2 doubles, where he partnered exclusively with Figge Pernfors.
Simmons and company are heading this weekend to the SAA Championships in Memphis, Tennessee. Their quarterfinal matchup will be Friday at 10 a.m. ET against Southwestern, with the winner advancing to Saturday's semifinal match against Trinity.
