The Lady Netters lost to nationally ranked Sewanee on Downing Howell Courts on Friday afternoon, 8-1. Ranked No. 21 in the nation, the Tigers easily dispatched the Petrels but not before freshman Caffrey Francis extended her singles record to a sterling 13-0 on the season.
The Tigers cruised through the doubles matches, only allowing Oglethorpe to win four of 24 games. It was much of the same in singles play with the exception of Francis, who continues to show dogged determination in winning her singles matches. Playing at No. 2, she rebounded from dropping the first set to rally for the win, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
