Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn.—On Friday night, the Oglethorpe men's soccer team won their second Southern Athletic Association game of the season. This 3-0 defeat over Sewanee brings the Petrels' conference record to 2-0 for the season after their victory last Saturday against Centre College.
Felipe Araújo put the Stormy Petrels on the board when he scored his first goal of the season midway through the first half of the game. In the second half, Ian Farquhar scored two goals for the Stormy Petrels. The first was a penalty kick goal. Farquhar's second goal was with only two minutes left in the game, and with Araújo on the assist.
The Stormy Petrel's had a good night defensively as they kept Sewanee off the scoreboard, marking their second straight clean sheet.
Up next for the Oglethorpe men's soccer team is yet another SAA game at Hendrix in Arkansas on Friday. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.
