Box Score The Oglethorpe women's lacrosse team went on the road in conference play for the first time this season and played very well, beating the Hendrix Warriors 18-10 in Conway, Arkansas, Saturday. The win improved the Stormy Petrels to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in SAA play.
The Petrels got 5 goals and three assists from freshman attacker Ally Moir, while freshman midfielder Kaitlynn Alford added 5 goals of her own. Sophomore attacker Mikaela Carlsen added 4 goals to the total, while junior attacker Grace Collier, junior attacker Samanda Cox, freshman middie Sydney Trammell and sophomore midfielder Kendall White each tallied a goal.
Senior goalie Jordan Chandler picked up the win for the Petrels, her third victory of the season.
The Petrels never trailed on the contest en route to the road victory over the Warriors.
Off to a good start in SAA play, the Petrels get back to action Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. They'll take on Sewanee from Tennessee in what will officially be a non-conference game before heading to Danville, Kentucky, Saturday to take on Centre.
