The Oglethorpe women's tennis team completed its second straight 7-2 victory over Hendrix Sunday, picking up the victory on the road in Conway, Arkansas. The win improved the Stormy Petrels to 3-4 on the season.
The Petrels an 8-0 victory from senior Lisette Phillips and sophomore Sydney Dattilo at No. 2 doubles and entered singles play with a 2-1 lead. They then proceeded to get six wins in singles competition. Sophomore Alyssa Merletti won 7-5, 6-0 at No. 3, while Phillips won 6-1, 6-3 on the No. 2 line. Senior Brooke Dotson won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 while junior Muskaan Bhukhanwala prevailed 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5.
The Petrels will be back in action Saturday at 11 a.m., when they take on Berry from the Howell Courts.
