ATLANTA – The 2023 season is winding down for the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels, who are now preparing to enter the Southern Athletic Association tournament as the No. 6 seed.

Tournament Information

• The championship matches will be held at a neutral site, Champions Club, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  
• Oglethorpe will face No. 3 Rhodes on Friday, April 28, at 1 p.m.
• If the Petrels advance, they will face the Birmingham Southern-Millsaps winner on Saturday, April 29, at 1 p.m.
• The final match will be played on Sunday, April 30, at 11 a.m.
• Oglethorpe fell 6-3 to Rhodes in their final match of the regular season, with Daniel Cohen and Cameron Burkes recording victories in No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Burkes and Zack Raymond combined for a win at No. 3 doubles.

Season Review

• Oglethorpe finished the regular season with a 6-10 overall record, 2-5 in SAA.
• The Petrels defeated SAA foes Millsaps and Hendrix.
• The team began the season with two 9-0 victories against LaGrange and then Huntingdon.
• Oglethorpe also recorded 7-2 victories against Belhaven and Goucher.

Individual Highlights

• Daniel Cohen posted a 7-8 singles record. He went 8-7 for doubles overall, 3-3 in SAA.
• Jefferson Page finished the season with a 9-2 singles record, and went undefeated in conference singles. He holds a 5-6 overall doubles record.
• Cameron Burkes holds a 7-8 singles record.
• Sam Wasko finished the season with a 7-8 overall doubles record.
