Recent Championship History
This was Rhodes' first time claiming a regular season championship, and they defeated the Petrels 1-0 earlier this season.
Last season, Rhodes defeated Oglethorpe in the regular season as well, but then allowed the Petrels a 3-0 win in the finals to claim the SAA crown and enter the NCAA tournament.
Oglethorpe this Season
The Petrels came out of the regular season as the No. 2 seed with a 6-2-6 (3-1-2 SAA) record. The Petrels are packing this year's offensive and defensive players of the year in Adrian Levy and Daniel Amah, as well as multiple all-conference honorees.
Ben Alram was named to the first team while AJ Evans, Dylan Bapst, Steven Johnson-Fikula, JP Devine, Nicolas Sciarra and JR Cozine were named to the second team.Â
If Oglethorpe is able to repeat history, this would be the program's fourth SAA tournament title.
