ATLANTA- After completing the regular season, the Southern Athletic Association awarded Oglethorpe men's soccer players Sebastian Lewis, Luke Montes, Shama Shasha and Ethan Martinez all-conference titles.
All-Conference Honors
Lewis, a standout freshman, was named to the SAA All-Conference second team and led the Stormy Petrels back line to a successful season. He had a season high of nine saves in a crucial conference game versus Sewanee, and he also posted nine saves back-to-back against Trinity and Southwester, the top two teams in the league. Lewis averaged four saves per game putting him third in the conference for saves.
Each of these four players had an integral role in the team finishing 6-8-2. The team scored a total of 23 goals while only allowing 22. Lewis tallied 72 total saves and led the defense to record two shutouts for the season.
The Petrels will travel to Southwestern in Georgetown, Texas, to meet Berry in a rematch in the first round of the SAA tournament on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m. ET. If won, the Petrels will take on the No. 5 Trinity Tigers on Friday, Nov. 7.
