ATLANTA—Oglethorpe seniors Malachi Dooley and Jackson Kemp have been named to the Southern Athletic Association all-conference team, announced the SAA office Tuesday afternoon. Dooley and Kemp were named honorable mentions following standout final seasons. Andrew LaVigne was named to the all-sportsmanship team.

Dooley (18.0) and Kemp (12.4) were Oglethorpe's top two scorers during the 2025-26 campaign, with Dooley also leading in assists (3.1/game) and Kemp leading in rebounding (7.5/game). Dooley ranked fourth in the SAA in scoring and sixth in the SAA for assists while Kemp ranked 14th for scoring and fourth for rebounding.

The pair was indeed impactful in several areas on the court and both eclipsed significant milestones during their senior campaign. On December 5, Dooley became the 35th player in program history and 23rd player in Oglethorpe's NCAA Division III era to reach 1,000 career points. Just over one month later on January 11, Kemp became just the ninth player to reach 500 career rebounds.

Dooley finished with 1,264 points and Kemp with 583 rebounds, ranking 12th and 13th on their respective lists.

Dooley put up an impressive stretch of scoring early in the season when he recorded three 30-point efforts across four games in late November. The second game of that stretch marked his career high when he went 12-for-19 against Greensboro to finish with 32. Dooley tied that career high two games later on his milestone night against Baptist University of Florida.

Kemp's best scoring stretch immediately followed Dooley's. In late December, Kemp scored 22 then 26 then 27 across a three-game period, the last two marking new career highs.

The pair combined for eight double-doubles this year, with five coming from Kemp. In fact, Kemp put up double-double efforts in two of his last three games.  

This marked Kemp's first time on the all-SAA team. Dooley became a three-time honoree after making honorable mention following the 2023-24 season and first team following the 2024-25 season.
