ROME, Ga.—The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels traveled to Rome, Georgia, to open their 2025–2026 outdoor season at the Berry Victor Ice Breaker. Competing against a strong field to start the spring campaign, the Petrels delivered several personal bests and solid early-season performances across both the track and field events.
Men's Highlights
- Noah Harmon led the way for the men with a sixth-place finish and personal best in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:00.00.
- The men's 4x100m relay team of Mason O'Shields, Anthony Bonds, Charlie Monroe and Brandon Large also turned in a strong performance, finishing sixth overall.
- Kaden Cooke opened his collegiate outdoor season in the high jump with a clearance of 1.81m.
- Charlie Monroe recorded a personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 29.52m.
Women's Highlights
- Mia Harris opened her outdoor season in the javelin with a fourth-place finish, recording a throw of 35.85m, the top mark in the SAA and seventh best mark in the NCAA.
- Hailey Wright led the women's side with a personal best in the long jump, landing at 5.40m.
- Hannah Rhodes posted an impressive third-place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:23.30.
