ATLANTA—Oglethorpe freshman Zeno Goss has been voted the Southern Athletic Association athlete of the week this week after a record-breaking performance in the 800 meters this past weekend in the final tune-up to the SAA Championships.

This marked Goss' fourth win of the SAA's weekly honor this year after winning it January 20, March 20 and March 31.

Goss set the Stormy Petrel record in the 800 meters at this weekend's Georgia Tech Invitational. In an elite field, he ran a blistering 1:51.73 which is the leading time in the SAA and No. 18 time in the NCAA. He also won his heat.

Goss will take his SAA weekly honor to the SAA Championships this weekend in Rome, Georgia, as the Stormy Petrels are set to conclude the SAA season Friday-Saturday with the outdoor conference championships.
