The men's soccer team absorbed their first loss of the season on Friday night at the hands on DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., 1-0.

The Tigers scored the game's lone goal on a free kick in the 80th minute to derail the Petrels. The free kick came following a red card on junior Harrison McConnell and allowed the Tigers to post the decisive goal.

Oglethorpe outshot the Tigers 11-7 including owning a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal but could not break through with a strike of their own. The Petrels also held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks in the contest.

With the result, Oglethorpe is now 4-0-1 on the season and will travel to Danville, Ky. seeking a win over Centre College on Sunday afternoon.
