Box Score An injury-depleted Oglethorpe women's soccer team suffered another tough loss on Tuesday, falling 4-0 to Bob Jones at Salamone Field.
Oglethorpe came out the aggressor in the first 10 minutes of the game, recording the contest's first five shots. However, Bob Jones would get the opening goal in the 12th minute, which seemed to turn the tide. Even so, the Petrels got plenty of shots, outshooting the visiting Bruins 21-15. Each team put eight shots on target.
With a 1-0 lead at halftime, Bob Jones put the game away in the second half, scoring goals in the 66th, 82nd and 83rd minutes.
The Bruins took four corner kicks to Oglethorpe's one.
The Petrels fall to 5-8-1 with the loss. This concludes their non-conference schedule, and the final three contests of the regular season will all be SAA battles. Two of those come this weekend, as Birmingham-Southern visits Salamone Field at 1:30 p.m. Friday while Millsaps comes in at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
