Box Score ATLANTA—The Oglethorpe women's soccer team was defeated by Berry College on Saturday night at home. The final score of the game was 3-0.
Berry struck first in just the eighth minute on a goal by Karsen Brantley with Lyndsey Francingues on the assist. It was then Francingues who would double the lead in the 19th minute and triple the lead in the 62nd minute. Berry outshot Oglethorpe by a margin of 30-3.
Oglethorpe goalkeeper Haley Lowell had a total of 14 saves, including six in the first half of the game and eight in the second.
Up next, the Stormy Petrels will play Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Southern Athletic Association championship tournament against top-seeded Centre College. More information on the SAA tournament will be announced by the league office next week.
