BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels opened the new season with great results in the BSC Panther Invitational Friday evening.

Men's Results 

• Beck James placed seventh in the mile with a time of 4:27. 
• Rainey Morris finished 16th in the high jump with a final mark of 1.85m.  

Women's Results 

• Hailey Wright placed 20th in the high jump with a final mark of 1.45m.  
• Aubrey Guyden finished 23rd in the 60m race with a time of 7.97. 
• Riley Michaud took 23rd in the 800m with a time of 2:41. 
• Kirsten Wright made her collegiate debut with a 32nd place finish in the 60m, recording a time of 8.07.  

Meet Notes 

• Southern Athletic Association members Berry, Millsaps, and Rhodes also competed. 
• Muhammad Sail Abbs, Anthony Bonds, Daniel Bogard, Charlie Monroe and Brandon Austin also made their collegiate debuts. 
• NCAA Division I schools including Georgia State, Samford and Alabama State, as well as Division II schools including West Georgia, Morehouse and Shorter also competed.
