ATLANTA—Although the regular season ended on a sour note, the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels are gearing up to play in the opening round of the Southern Athletic Association tournament as the No. 6 seed.

Tournament Details 

• Quarterfinal game: at Sewanee on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m. ET. 
• Uba Ezigbo scored 13 points in the last meeting earlier this week. 
• A win would advance the Petrels to the semifinals against Rhodes or Millsaps.
• The championship game is set for Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. ET 
• Last season, Oglethorpe played in the championship game which resulted in a heartbreaking one-point loss to Berry. 

Oglethorpe this season 

• Record: 10-15, 5-9 SAA 
• The Petrels won two of their last four games, defeating Centre and Millsaps.  
• Uba Ezigbo leads with 16.0 points per game, followed by Jordan James with 10.7, with Ryan Jenei and Jackson Kemp each at 9.0 points per game.  
• Malachi Dooley recorded 63 assists. 
• Ezigbo also leads the team in rebounding with 5.0 rebounds per game. Jenei is close behind at 4.9.
• Ezigbo is ranked third in conference for scoring and for steals.
