BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels saw a great performance Saturday at the Samford Open, setting numerous personal and school records.

Men's Results

• Senior Ashton Deriso placed fourth in the mile with a time of 4:15.19, beating the previous school record and setting a personal best for the event. Deriso now ranks 21st in the event for NCAA Division III overall.
• Following Deriso, Zachary Benner took 11th place in the mile, and senior Beck James placed 17th.
• Tristan Arey, Beck James, Antonio Fuentes and Ugohnofure Awarieta combined for a 13th place finish in the 4x400m relay.
• Rainey Morris took 11th place in the high jump.

Women's Results

• Kirsten Wright, Hailey Wright, Hannah Rhodes and Evan Thomas placed eighth and set a new school record with a time of 4:19.62 in the 4x400 relay.
• Junior Hannah Rhodes had another outstanding meet and set a personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:26.96.
• Aubrey Guyden placed 16th in the 60m, placing herself 83rd overall in Division III 60m for the season.
• Junior Hailey Wright placed eighth in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.50m.
