Eyes on postseason tournament for women’s soccer

ATLANTA- The Oglethorpe women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season slate with an impressive record of 9-4-1 that allowed them to clinch a spot in the Southern Athletic Conference tournament, which starts Thursday.

Women's Soccer Postseason Outlook

  • Petrels stand at #4 in the SAA
  • Tournament Host: Rhodes in Memphis, Tennessee
  • First round opponent: Centre
  • Game time: Thursday, Nov. 6, at 12:30 p.m. ET
  • With a win: Petrels would face Trinity on Friday, Nov. 7, in the semifinals.
  • Championship match: Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. ET

Women's Soccer Season Review

  • Finished the regular season 9-4-1 and 3-3-1 in conference.
  • First win over Centre College in 28 years after a 1-0 victory.
  • Best record in the last four seasons.
  • Delaney Hanks earned two nods to offensive athlete of the week.
  • Five players were named All-SAA, led by Ana Williams and Hanks on the first team.
