ATLANTA- Oglethorpe freshman standout Zeno Goss ran the fastest time in the Southern Athletic Association in the 800 meters in the Tufts Final Qualifier this past weekend and for his efforts has been named the SAA's track athlete of the week.

In the final qualifying event prior to the NCAA Championships, he posted a converted time of 1:52.18 which put him in 40th place in the NCAA this indoor season in the event. It narrowly missed a qualification for the national championships but was still enough for him to collect the honor with the SAA's best mark.

Goss and the rest of the Petrels will travel to Emory University in Atlanta on Friday-Saturday, March 20-21, to continue outdoor season.
