ATLANTA—Oglethorpe sophomore Keri Edwards has qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships after earning a national mark in the triple jump at the Southern Athletic Association Championships.

The national championship event is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 13-14, at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. Edwards will compete in the triple jump with its final scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

Edwards became the seventh individual national qualifier in the history of Oglethorpe's women's track & field program, the sixth since 2014 and the first since 2019. She leapt an Oglethorpe record 11.74 meters at the SAA Championships and landed on the all-SAA team for the second straight year.

The result punctuated a standout season for Edwards, who made improvements to her triple jump mark in two of the last three meets. Currently, Edwards holds the 18th best triple jump mark in the NCAA.
