ATLANTA – Head Coach Kari Elliott returns for her second season as the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrel track & field teams take off this weekend.

On the Schedule

• First meet: NCAA Indoor Icebreaker on December 6
• Southern Athletic Association Indoor Championships: February 28-March 1
• First outdoor meet: Berry Victor Icebreaker on March 8
• NCAA Indoor National Championships: March 14-15
• SAA Outdoor Championships: April 25-26
• NCAA Outdoor National Championships: May 22-25

On the Roster

• The team has welcomed seven freshmen: Amirah Ali, Gabriella Andino, Ximena Arias, Sybella Bertolini, Keri Edwards, Symantha Lewis, and Atara Simister.
• Transfer Allyssa Hearn has also joined the team.
• The Petrels will graduate two seniors: Riley Michaud and Alex Swanson.
• Returners: Elliott Baker, Aubrey Guyden, Malia Melton, Riley Michaud, Hannah Rhodes, Evan Thomas, Hailey Wright, and Kirsten Wright. 

Last Season

• Guyden: All-SAA honorable mention for 100m.
• Thomas: Placed fourth in the 400m at the SAA Championships.
• H. Wright took fifth in the high jump with a final mark of 1.55m.
• K. Wright had a pair of top-five finishes in the 100 and 200. She was fourth in the 200 in 25.77 and fifth in the 100 in 12.43.
• Evelyn Parral was named to the SAA All-Sportsmanship team.
• Melton won an SAA Athlete of the Week nod.
• Ten Petrels were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll.
