ATLANTA - Head Coach Philip Ponder is back for his 23rd season with the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels.

On the Schedule

• First game: Saturday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. at Brevard.
• First home game: Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 5:30 p.m. versus Greensboro.
• First Southern Athletic Association game: Home on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 8 p.m. versus Berry.
• Jack Berkshire Classic: December 29-30 featuring LaGrange, Sewanee and Brevard. 
• SAA tournament: February 26-28.

On the Roster

• The team has 13 returning players: Andrew LaVigne, Logan Turner, Carter Watkins, Willard Thompson, Jackson Kemp, Mason Kemp, Brennan Gregoire, Jack Thomas, Malachi Dooley, Cyrus LaPlant, Brevin Klym, James McGriff and Ethan Weems.
• Three freshmen will make their Oglethorpe debut: Cooper Colvin, Anderson Shepherd and Kam Stone.
• The Petrels will graduate three seniors: Dooley, Turner, Klym, and the Kemp twins.

Last Season

• Dooley was named to the All-SAA first team after posting 429 points, averaging 16.5 a game. He ranked fourth in the SAA for scoring, seventh for field goal percentage and eighth for assists. He led Oglethorpe in assists with 76 and made 34 steals.
• M. Kemp led the team in steals at 39, ranking fourth in the SAA. He also made 204 points, 106 rebounds and 44 assists.
• J. Kemp made 154 rebounds, ranking eighth in conference. He also scored 180 points with a .486 field goal percentage and 31 assists. 
• Turner scored 83 points.
• Thompson made 76 points and 10 steals.
• 12 Petrels were named to the SAA academic honor roll.

Additional Notes

• Assistant coach Will Long returns for his fifth year with Oglethorpe.
• First time opponents: Johnson & Wales, William Peace, LeTourneau and Baptist University of Florida.
• Trinity and Southwestern have joined the SAA, and only the top six teams will qualify for the championship tournament.
