ATLANTA- Oglethorpe standout freshman Gannon Johnson earned his first Southern Athletic Association athlete of the week award for men's lacrosse after his collegiate debut.

Four goals and two assists is a hefty start for Johnson at Oglethorpe, and his performance kept the Petrels in the game versus Greensboro College for the first three quarters. Despite his offensive presence, the Stormy Petrels could not hold on in the final minutes of the game and ultimately fell to Greensboro.

Johnson and the Petrels will travel to Misenheimer, North Carolina, to face Pfeiffer on Sunday, Feb.15, at 12 p.m.
