"I thought we played very well for stretches," said Oglethorpe head coach Wes Anania, "but we were unable to find a goal and had a bad moment where we gave one up, and that was the difference in the game. We've got a game with Wesleyan coming up on Wednesday, and then we'll get ready to travel for the SAA quarterfinals next weekend."
It was Senior Day for the Oglethorpe women's soccer program, and the Petrels celebrated the careers of midfielder Celina Kassam, and defenders Annabelle Geiger and Becki White at halftime of Saturday's game. Midfielder Caitlin Tabilog was honored during the Birmingham-Southern game on Sunday.
The Petrels will travel down the road to Macon on Wednesday, where they'll go against Wesleyan at 7 p.m. After that, they'll get ready for the SAA quarterfinals on Saturday. They'll hold the No. 7 seed, and will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to take on No. 2 seed Birmingham-Southern at a time to be announced.
