ATLANTA - Head Coach Rob King wrapped his fourth season with the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels after another successful year of developing the team, as this year's Petrels produced one of the most successful records of the last 20 years.
Oglethorpe's season began with five straight wins, two of which were shutouts. The Petrels then fell to No. 2 Emory, but recuperated with a 6-0 win against Talladega. Southern Athletic Association play was tough this season, especially with the addition of Trinity and Southwestern, but the Petrels found wins against Millsaps, Centre and Southwestern.
Oglethorpe ended the regular season with a 0-0 tie at Berry, then fell to Centre in the SAA tournament despite having defeated the Colonels during the regular season.
