ATLANTA- Oglethorpe junior Delaney Hanks has been voted the Southern Athletic Association Offensive Athlete of the Week. After her offensive efforts against Southwestern, she secured the title for the first time.

Over the weekend, Hanks tallied her seventh and eighth goals of the year which led the Stormy Petrels to their first SAA victory of the season. Sunday was her third multigoal game of the year, and the midfielder currently sits at No. 2 in the conference for total scoring and leads the conference for goals per game. These numbers are evidence enough for her offensive power and ability to lead the Petrels to victory.

Hanks and the Petrels will travel to Memphis, Tennessee, to face the Lynx of Rhodes on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.
