Ann Mason is a legend in Oglethorpe’s volleyball program.

Mason currently holds the school record for kills in a single game and in a season, as well as the second highest career kills. She holds the record for blocks in a single season, and led the 1994 team in aces. Mason was named to the All-SCAC second team three times, and the first team her sophomore year. She and teammate Lori Green were the first in program history to be named to all-conference all four years of their career. Mason was the first volleyball player to nab an athlete of the week nod, earning SCAC Player of the Week in fall 1993.

Outside of volleyball, Mason was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society. She was also a member of the basketball team her freshman year.

Mason and her husband Clay Davis (‘95, played on Oglethorpe’s men’s basketball team) married in 1999 and have two daughters. She currently resides in coastal Georgia and runs a book club called The Big Read.
