Mack A. Rikard AKA M. A. Rikard graduated with a Bachelor of Science. 

 

Rikard was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity, Lord’s Club, the O Club, Le Conte Club, Blue Key Honor Society, Debate Council, and was a biology lab assistant. He only played varsity football his senior year, as the team won every home game for a 4-5 season record. Today he is an Oglethorpe Trustee Emeritus and holds an honorary doctorate of commerce (earned 1992) on top of his bachelor’s.  

 

In 1991 the Rikard Lecture Series was established to introduce students to current issues in business as presented by business and civic leaders who are recognized leaders in their professions. Today, the Hammack School of Business continues the tradition.  

 

Rikard was an owner of Allied Products Company in Birmingham, Alabama and a long-time supporter of athletics and scholarships.
