Geoffrey Spiess received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
He received the player spotlight in the 1991 Yamacraw yearbook, where he was described as a “quiet giant,”.
Along with surpassing 1,000 points, Spiess entered the Top Ten All-Time rebounding list with nearly 500 rebounds. At the time of his graduation, he had the third-highest all-time Field Goal Percentage at 55%. He was voted the Most Valuable Player at two tournaments and made the All-Tournament team at three others during his four-year career.
From 1995-2002 Spiess served the Atlanta Hawks as a Season Ticket Sales & Service Manager. His legal career began in 2007 with a summer associate position with Goodman Allen & Filetti. From there, he received a law degree from Notre Dame, where he was on the boxing team. Spiess worked his way up through St. Jospeh's County, Indiana from Clerk to Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Special Victims Unit. In 2012 he pivoted to Staff Attorney for the City of Mishawaka. He served the city for 7 years, including a stint as Human Resources Director and City Attorney, before founding his own firm in 2023.
