Robert “Bob” Jones Findley, an Atlanta native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science and was a tri-sport athlete.

Findley transferred from Auburn his sophomore year, and quickly found his place in the athletics department.  In baseball, Findley was the team’s #1 catcher, in basketball he was a three-year varsity starter, and was a member of Oglethorpe’s early track and field program. Findley was also a part of the intramural football team and a member of the O Club. 

Findley worked for the Gulf Oil Corporation for over 30 years, and picked up golf later in life. He and his wife Robbie had three children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He passed away on August 2nd, 2004 at the age of 78.
