William “Bill” Garrigan wore #22 on the basketball team and was heavily involved on campus.

Garrigan captained the 1966 men’s basketball team to a 22-6 record and an NCAA appearance. He co-captained the 1965 team.

Garrigan was named to the 1966 Homecoming court and received the Daid Hess Award for sportsmanship and athletic ability. He was president of his senior class, vice president of the LeConte Club, a member of the Young Democrats club, Rat Court, Boar’s Head council, Honor Court, and the Lords and Lady Oglethorpe Court.

Garrigan was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
