Sunny Hilliard left an incredible mark on Oglethorpe and the volleyball program.

Hilliard currently holds the Oglethorpe record for career kills at 1,506. She also holds the career record for aces, and is still ranked No.22 in NCAA Division III with 351. Hilliard holds Oglethorpe second highest number of career digs. She was named an All-SCAC honorable mention, second team, and third team honoree.

Hilliard was the 1996 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference statistical champion for digs. The 1999 team won the Spike It Tournament and Hilliard was named to the all-tournament team.  

HIlliard earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and spent a clinical year at Auburn. She and her husband have two children and several cats at their home in Virginia.
