Scott Zannini is a life-long athlete that elevated Oglethorpe baseball in the late 1990s. 

In 1998 Zannini earned All-SCAC honors after his 50 runs set the Oglethorpe record for second highest number of runs in a single season, and he was the team's leader for triples. He also earned All-SCAC honors in 1997. 

Zannini grew up in Citrus County, Florida winning local little league championships. Zannini has spent his entire career in real estate, and is currently a real estate agent for Foothills Property Group in Greenville, South Carolina. He and  his wife Jessica have two children; Gabriella and Benicio. Zannini has remained an active athlete, running ultra marathons and coaching his son's baseball team. In 2024 he led the 12U Travelers Rest Rockies to a 10-0 record and the Northwest Little League title. On September 14th, 2025 he placed 2nd in the Spartan Killington Ultra with a time of 11:15:39.
